It is with satisfaction and pride that we announce the beginning of our Brazilian Journal of Fundamental Rights & Justice's third year. Along this year the Journal will be incorporating some slight modifications to increase even more its high standard and therefore complying more strictly with the demands of the Brazilian federal department of higher education's new QUALIS system of periodicals ranking. Our goal remains as always scientific and editorial excellence. In this sixth issue our Journal is once again privileged with the participation of renowned foreign authors, with texts in the original and including one translated to Portuguese. The foreign language texts are by Roberto Romboli ( Pisa , Italy ), Miguel Angel Presno Linera ( Oviedo , Spain ) and Fernando Rey Martínez ( Valladolid , Spain ). Francisco Balaguer Callejón ( Granada , Spain ) contributes with the translated text. Brazilian jurists also collaborate with instigating articles. Suzani Andrade Ferraro (Cândido Mendes Institution, Rio de Janeiro ), Wilson Ramos Filho ( Federal University of Paraná) and Luiz Edson Fachin ( Federal University of Paraná) contemplate this issue with their texts. Fábio Siebeneichler de Andrade (PUCRS) represents the Permanent Faculty Body of our University, while Selma Petterle, a J. D. student of our Post-Grad Program, comments an important decision by the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court. With hopes that this issue of the Journal as well will keep having good reception among the academic community, we salute all and wish an excellent year of 2009. |
